Hi, my name is Jimi, and I’m the creator of the brand Oakz.
There is no easy way to say any of this, but this brand is for my brother, Oakley, or, as he called himself on social media, RSOakz.
I lost my brother on the 26/06/26 he was a back seat passenger in a car accident. And he had been out on his bike that day. We will never know exactly why he got into that car with somebody he didn’t know, but one thing is for sure: Oakley will never, ever be forgotten. That is the reason I have decided to create this brand for him.
It’s based around the style of clothing he always loved. He always had the most expensive bike clothes, and yes, he loved bikes. They were his life. That’s why this is going to be a bike brand.
He had an Aprilia RS 125 2-stroke, which was the love of his life, as he would say. He had only had it for a month before the engine blew up, but he managed to spend the next three months buying all the parts and completely teaching himself how to rebuild the engine.
He was so clever and would have been such an amazing 2-stroke specialist. 2-stroke bikes were his passion, and he knew so much about them.
Me and Oakley weren’t like normal brothers. We had a bond that I couldn’t explain to anyone, even if I tried. We were with each other 24/7. Even to the point where, if one of us went and met our friends without the other, everyone would say, “Where’s the other brother?”
We did everything together.
It was actually Oakley who got me into bikes. He had a bike before me and actually taught me how to ride, even though he was the younger brother. He was only 17 years old, but I looked up to him.
There was just something about him that was so special. Everything he did, the clothes he wore, the bikes he had, the way he would ride his bike — he was just so cool.
He helped me with everything, and I can’t be the same person without him. I don’t think I will ever be the same person again.
But at least I can do this. I can create this brand for him, keep him alive, and make sure that Oakley is never forgotten.
This is for you, Oak.
I love you more. ❤️
